Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew was released in North America in 2006 by Miramax Films, adapted from the eighth entry in OLM's long-running theatrical Pokémon series. The film holds a particular place in the franchise's history for its emotionally grounded story and its introduction of Lucario as a central figure, arriving at a moment when the animated series was deepening its mythology considerably.

This cell, titled Mew, Meowth and Pikachu, captures what appears to be a descent through the luminous interior of the Tree of Beginning. The rounded white form of Mew dominates the foreground, while Meowth and Pikachu are present in the scene amid dense, shadowed vegetation. It is a quiet, visually distinctive moment from the film's most visually ambitious sequence.
