FILM NOTES

Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew was released in North America in 2006 by Miramax Films, adapted from the eighth entry in the long-running Japanese animated series produced by OLM, Inc. The film holds a particular place in the franchise's theatrical history, arriving during a transitional period for Pokémon's Western distribution and marking one of the final entries handled by Miramax before 4Kids Entertainment's involvement wound down.

This cell, confirmed as Pikachu Battling, captures two sequential frames from what reads as an electrically charged battle sequence. Pikachu is shown enveloped in radiating yellow lightning against a dark, rocky environment, the framing shifting slightly between frames to suggest motion within the discharge. It is a visually direct representation of the character in action.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
