Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel was released in Japan in July 2016 by OLM, Inc. and distributed internationally through The Pokémon Company. The nineteenth entry in the theatrical Pokémon series, it arrived during a period of renewed global franchise interest and represents the final film of the XY animation era before the series transitioned to a new generation.
