Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages was produced by OLM, Inc. and released by Toho in Japan in July 2015, arriving in Western markets through Cartoon Network later that year. The eighteenth entry in the theatrical Pokémon series, it represented the franchise at peak global momentum, drawing on the expanded mythology of Hoopa's sealed power and the summoning of legendary Pokémon to deliver one of the more visually ambitious entries of the XY era.
