Pokemon 3: The Movie was released in the United States in April 2001 by Miramax Films in partnership with Nintendo and 4Kids Entertainment. The third entry in the theatrical Pokemon series arrived at the height of the franchise's cultural dominance, blending action and surprisingly melancholic themes around loss and memory. It remains a notable artifact of early 2000s anime crossover filmmaking in the American market.

The confirmed title, Team Rocket Swimming, places this cell within that sequence, though the frame itself captures what appears to be a young trainer in blue and white clothing alongside a large quadrupedal creature amid a vivid garden of red and yellow flowers. The strip runs sideways, a common artifact of how 35mm animation frames were sometimes pulled and preserved from the original print.
