FILM NOTES

Pokémon: The Movie 2000 arrived in North American theaters in July 2000, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures following the franchise phenomenon ignited by the television series and the first film. Produced by OLM, Inc. for Nintendo and Game Freak, it captured a generation at the height of Pokémon's cultural dominance and remains a touchstone of early-millennium animation for audiences who grew up alongside it.

This cell, titled Pikachu, isolates one of the film's quieter emotional beats. Against a soft blue field, Pikachu appears cradled and still, conveying vulnerability rather than action. It is a frame that speaks to the bond at the story's center, rendered in the warm, hand-drawn line quality characteristic of late-nineties theatrical animation.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
