FILM NOTES

Pokémon: The Movie 2000 arrived in North American theaters in July 2000, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures during the height of the franchise's cultural dominance. The sequel to the record-breaking original film, it centered on the legendary birds and the collector Ash must face, drawing enormous audiences and cementing Pokémon's crossover from television into theatrical animation history.

This cell captures Slowking on the shrine island, his distinctive red and white shell collar clearly visible as he stands on the rocky, icy surface. The low camera angle and muted purple-grey background place him firmly within the film's mystical island setting. The consecutive frames suggest a held moment of stillness, characteristic of Slowking's composed, deliberate screen presence throughout the film.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
