Pokémon: The Movie 2000 arrived in North American theaters in July 2000, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures during the height of the franchise's cultural dominance. The sequel to the record-breaking original film, it centered on the legendary birds and the collector Pokémon Collector Lawrence III, drawing millions of young audiences and cementing the theatrical Pokémon film as an annual event. Its 35mm release captured the franchise at a genuine commercial and cultural peak.

This cell, titled Team Rocket, presents Jessie, James, and Meowth in their distinctive white uniforms, caught in a cramped interior space that suggests the interior of a vessel or enclosed structure. Meowth appears above the tangled pair below. The cell contains a duplicate frame, offering two identical compositions from the same moment — an unusual artifact of the printing process and a distinctive characteristic of this particular piece of film.
