Pokémon: The Movie 2000 was released in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures in July 2000, following the unprecedented cultural wave generated by the franchise's animated series. Serving as the theatrical sequel to the original Pokémon film, it drew millions of young audiences and remains a defining artifact of late-1990s and early-2000s pop culture crossover into mainstream cinema.
This cell, titled Ash & Pikachu by the operator, captures the franchise's central duo within a darkened cave environment rendered in cool blue tones. Ash appears crouching or in motion near rocky formations, with a faint glow visible above the figures. The strip includes a duplicate frame of the same composition, consistent with standard 35mm printing practice.
