Pokémon: The Movie 2000 was released in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures in July 2000, serving as the theatrical follow-up to the franchise's landmark 1999 debut film. Produced by OLM, Inc. and distributed internationally by Toho, it arrived at the peak of the global Pokémon phenomenon and remains a defining artifact of late-1990s anime crossover into Western mainstream cinema.

This cell, titled Charizard, captures the fan-favorite fire-type in a full rearing stance — mouth open, claws extended — set against a deep blue background consistent with the film's battle sequences. The consecutive nature of the two frames preserves a rare glimpse of Charizard mid-action, offering collectors a direct window into the hand-drawn animation process of the era.
