Pokémon: The Movie 2000 was released in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures in July 2000, serving as the theatrical follow-up to the franchise's breakout debut film. Produced by OLM, Inc. and distributed internationally by Miramax, it arrived at the height of the Pokémon phenomenon and remains a defining artifact of early-millennium animation and pop culture crossover.

This cell, titled Charizard & Friends, captures Ash Ketchum alongside Charizard and Bulbasaur set against the film's signature swirling blue backdrop, consistent with the story's climactic sequences near Lugia's domain. Three frames of near-identical composition give the strip a pleasing visual rhythm, with Charizard commanding the foreground across each panel.
