Pokémon: The Movie 2000 arrived in North American theaters in July 2000, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures following the domestic success of the first film. Produced by OLM, Inc. and 4Kids Entertainment, it represented the franchise at the height of its cultural saturation, drawing on a generation of devoted fans while pushing the theatrical animation budget further than its predecessor.

This cell, titled Lawrence's Flying Airship, captures Lugia in a continuous aerial sequence filmed from above and at mid-distance, the legendary Pokémon moving through a dramatic purple storm sky over icy, rocky terrain below. The three frames read as a single motion passage, offering a rare sustained look at one of the film's most visually striking sequences.
