Pokémon: The Movie 2000 was released in North America in July 2000 by Warner Bros. Pictures, following the unprecedented theatrical success of the first Pokémon film. Produced by OLM, Inc. and distributed internationally by Miramax, it arrived at the height of the global Pokémon phenomenon and remains a defining artifact of late-1990s anime crossover into Western mainstream cinema.

This cell, titled Team Rocket, captures Jessie, James, and Meowth alongside their Pokémon companion Weezing across four consecutive frames from a single held shot. The stylised interior setting with its striped background elements frames the group in a composition characteristic of the trio's theatrical screen presence, with Weezing occupying the dominant upper portion throughout the sequence.
