Pokémon: The Movie 2000 arrived in North American theaters in July 2000, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures following the domestic success of the first film. Produced by OLM, Inc. for Nintendo and Game Freak, it represented the franchise at the height of its cultural saturation, drawing audiences well beyond the core animated series viewership. The film remains a notable artifact of late-nineties anime crossover into mainstream Western cinema.

This cell, titled Zapdos, captures the Legendary Electric-type Pokémon mid-discharge across four consecutive frames, each showing a sustained burst of electric energy against a dark field. The purple and gold tones shift subtly across the strip, with the rightmost frame carrying a slight exposure variance consistent with the edge of the reel. A visually cohesive sequence from one of the film's more kinetic passages.
