Pokémon: The Movie 2000 was released in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures in July 2000, serving as the theatrical follow-up to the franchise's landmark 1999 debut film. Produced by OLM, Inc. and distributed internationally by Miramax, the film arrived at the peak of the global Pokémon phenomenon and remains a defining artifact of late-1990s anime crossover into Western mainstream cinema.

This cell, titled Lugia, captures the legendary Pokémon across four frames set against a deep blue and purple cosmic environment, with luminous orbital ring elements encircling the creature. The sequence reflects one of the film's most visually distinctive passages, rendered here in the original 35mm photochemical format that brought Lugia to theater screens worldwide.
