Pokémon: The Movie 2000 was released in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures in July 2000, following the unprecedented cultural wave generated by the first film. Produced by OLM, Inc. and distributed internationally by Miramax, it arrived at the height of Pokémon's global dominance and remains a defining artifact of late-1990s anime crossover into Western mainstream cinema.

This cell, titled Team Rocket, Ash and Pikachu, captures Ash Ketchum alongside Pikachu and the trio of Jessie, James, and Meowth in one of the film's characteristic moments where rival factions find themselves thrown together in shared chaos. Preserved on 35mm, it documents an unlikely convergence that became one of the franchise's most recognizable recurring dynamics.
